Outer shell and internal heat exchanger constructed from solid drawn copper to EN 1057: 1996. All joints brazed with Silver Copper Brazing Alloy to EN ISO3677:1995 CP105
Insulation jacket manufactured with Class 0 Aramflex to EN ISO8497.
Fitting Instructions
Drain down the Hot Water Cylinder completely, if there is no Drain Cock, the cylinder must be syphoned empty.
Set the Thermostat at 55°C (130°F).
Securely fix the Willis Immersion to a convenient side wall of the airing cupboard using 50mm hook or similar, making sure that the underside of the terminal cover is facing downwards and is not less than 100mm from floor level.
On the side of the cylinder, at a conveniently accessable position level with the bottom (side) connection of the Willis Immersion, fit the patent Flange and couple up with 15mm copper tube to the bottom connection.
Insert a tee piece with 15mm branch on the open vent pipe at a level NOT LESS THAN 600mm above the dome of the cylinder. Connect between this branch and the top (end) of the Willis Immersion with 15mm copper tube.
Refill system and test for leaks.
THERMOSTATIC SETTING: As the thermostat in this appliance acts as a limit switch, to operate only when the full contents of the cylinder are heated, the thermostat should be set at 55°C (130°F).
Wiring Instructions
WARNING: The Willis Immersion must be earthed. This heater is to be wired with heat resisting cable to BS6500, a double pole isolating switch should be provided in the circuit
